Previse features as part of a 15-strong delegation of UK fintechs which is heading to Australia to develop business opportunities with potential Australian partners. The group of fintechs attending includes OakNorth, Funding Options, Delio Wealth and Bud.
The UK contingent also includes major UK banks, Barclays, HSBC, Lloyds, Natwest and Standard Chartered as well trade development bodies London & Partners and Invest Northern Ireland.
The trip aims to strengthen the UK’s relationship and investment ties with Australia. It follows the establishing of the UK-Australia Fintech Bridge back in March of this year. It’s hoped this will increase trade between the two countries, reduce regulatory barriers and enable alignment on policy frameworks.
Earlier this year, Previse’s co-founder and CEO, Paul Christensen was appointed to Innovate Finance and City of London Corporation’s FinTech Strategy Group, making him ideally placed to represent the UK at this top class conference. As well as his ambassadorial role, Paul will also be promoting Previse and its mission to get suppliers paid instantly.
Paul will be in Sydney for Sibos 2018, one of the leading banking and financial conferences in the world, between 22-25 October. During the event, the UK Department for International Trade will host an ‘Open Banking’ breakfast panel on opportunities for Australian and UK business and benefit for customers.
There will also be a panel discussion looking toward Sibos 2019 which will be held in London. It will explore the future of fintech and top issues likely to dominate discussions over the next 12 months.
