Real Captivation is a full service video production company. We produce live action 2D, and 3D animation plus virtual and augmented interactive experiences for customers.
We’re small but very capable, located in Chicago, Illinois, and, we work with both national and international customers.
Our payment experiences with large corporates has generally been pretty frustrating, with payment terms of anywhere from 30 to 120 days, sometimes even longer. Often those payments come in as past due, which makes cash flow for a small company like ours, a really big challenge.
I can remember a particularly late payment from a large global consulting firm that almost put us out of business. At virtually the last possible moment, someone from their internal team in the accounts payable department interceded for us, and we avoided disaster.
It’s a constant issue with companies large and small adding to my stress level and my workload. Having to hound customers to get payments made on, agreed to terms.
(SmartPay) has virtually eliminated that stress and ensured our cash flow. Instead of the uncertainty of 90 to 120 days, we get paid within a week of invoicing. That’s one less headache for me and eliminates multiple emails with the customer, trying to get a realistic idea of when that payment will get received.
I’m more willing to accept work knowing I won’t have a long uncertain wait to get paid.
It benefits both of us.
